Life Song A Homage to Jose Carrera
Thursday Mar 27th 7pm to 2am at Nueva Rodeo
Jose Carrera, known as the "father of Salsa" in MN, is fighting for his life. Some of his friends have come together to pay homage to him and at the same time raise some needed funds to help pay for his medical expenses. We are asking that everybody contribute $20 at the door.

Formed by Diego Gale who has played percussion for Marc Anthony, Celia Cruz, Hector Lavoe, Richie Ray and Bobby Cruz, Maelo Ruiz and more. Grupo Galé, uno de los grupos de salsa más importantes de Colombia, presenta su colección más completa para celebrar su decimo quinto aniversario. Tropical Zone Opens For La India
Sep 29 2007 - Radio station La Picosa 1530 AM celebrates its 1st year anniverary operating here in Chaska. La Picosa celebrated by hosting a huge party at Trocaderos in Minneapolis with DJ Eddie "Mozkito" Cruz and DJ Pablo. The headliner for the night was La India and her 12 piece band. Opening for La India was local group Tropical Zone Orchestra, the hottest new sasla orchestra in town. Tropical Zone features a 5 piece horn section that will blow you away.
Latinopolis Interview For Univision
Sep 21 2007 - Yes, the word is out and it's getting around town. There's a new salsa orchestra in town called Tropical Zone. The guys from Latinopolis at Univision 13 just had to stop by and check it out. The Latinopolis crew stopped by BaBaLus Friday, September 21st, spent time interviewing Tropical Zone and taping some of the action inside the club during the performance. The interview was aired September 28-30. Hopefully soon we'll provide a link here so you can see it also.
Tropical Zone Opens For Grupo Niche
Jul 27 2007 - The group that has led the charge for the past 25 years is Colombia's premier Salsa band, Grupo Niche. They put on an exciting and solid performance of great salsa music which everyone enjoyed. It was a pleasure for Tropical Zone to open for these guys.
